Latest News:

New Faces in the Studio

This year, Trinity Organ Scholar, and past-pupil of the Máire Ledwith Butler Singing Studio, Kevin O’Sullivan, is going to be working in the studio. Kevin has just graduated with a B.Mus. Ed. (Hons) from Trinity and will be teaching and accompanying some of our students, under my supervision, as part of a work experience programme. We are looking forward to having him back in the studio.

U.C.D.’s newest Ad Astra Scholar!

University College Dublin’s Ad Astra Academy, founded in 2006, is devoted to promoting the pursuit of academic excellence in a wide variety of fields. This year, admission to this elite group was extended to gifted musicians and Rory Lynch, one of our studio’s most familiar and best-loved performers, was offered the chance to join this select group. Rory will be afforded the chance to present recitals, and will automatically become a member of the award-winning Choral Scholars. Scholars are afforded access to the best facilities and opportunities to attend seminars and to work with many leading performers and educators. We wish Rory the best of luck in his future singing career.

ESB Feis Ceoil, 2011

ALL GIRLS.jpg

The young ladies of Classicus Youth Chamber Choir competed at this year’s Feis Ceoil, in the RDS, Ballsbridge. The hard work and commitment shown by the girls stood to them and they were awarded first place in the Youth Choir three-part (minimum) competition. Although they had some stiff competition, the girls’ performance was of a very high standard. Congratulations to all involved!
